Galliano Sommavilla / Press

“Galliano Sommavilla, an Australian composer, producer, songwriter, and pianist, releases Vol. 13 Favourites, which is one of several upcoming releases celebrating a musical series based on creating one song a day for an entire year. Vol. 13 Favourites is one release that features a dozen mostly instrumental songs from that project in no particular order of creation. “Song/Day 190” opens with a militaristic and marching-type rhythm that brings in atmospheric washes, light tapping percussion, and a modest dance beat. There are sweeping keyboard notes and scintillating guitars. All of the sounds work together in unison for a truly magical result. The steady beat is interrupted by occasional solos of keyboard calisthenics and a few sporadic piercing electronic sounds. The new age constructions are very evident, but somewhat jazz-centered. “Song/Day 244 I’m Still Believin’” begins with an effervescent smooth jazz bass, guitar, and percussion sequence with glistening keyb”

The Australian

“Australian-based and globally-enriched, Galliano Sommavilla incorporates a wide variety of jazz, classical, new age, and electronica-inspired songs for the new album, Welcome To My Side Of The World. There are fourteen songs in all that feature enchanting, pensive, and upbeat music that is entirely instrumental. As a mixer, producer, and composer, Galliano shares the world of music with jazzy interludes, avant-garde displays, and dreamy soundscapes that are adventurous and mystical. Galliano Sommavilla’s new release, Welcome To My Side Of The World, is an outstanding album that brings together the best parts of fusion, electronica, new age, jazz, contemporary instrumental, and classical music genres Artist: Galliano Sommavilla Album: Welcome To My Side Of The World Review by Matthew Forss Rating: 5 Stars (out of 5) ”
