Creating music is my passion, and my basement studio is my sanctuary. The name Free Ranger came about because I really am a poultry farmer by day! I manage a large flock of free range egg laying hens and grow several acres of organic vegetables. As Free Ranger, I play the harmonica, acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitar, and a variety of world percussion instruments to make a fresh, unique sound. Forged from a background in Blues and Rock music, my instrumental songs are quirky, fun, dark, moody, dramatic, uplifting, and highly unusual. I love instrumental music because each song tells a story, creates a mood, and paints a picture all it's own using sound rather than words. My shows include blues and rock covers along with my originals. To have greater artistic control, I do all of my own recording, mixing, and mastering in my recording studio. I hope to get my songs into film, television, gaming, advertising, etc. Most importantly, I hope you enjoy listening to my songs as much as I enjoy creating them!
