If you're here to contact me, because you want someone to play on your event (Rhineland Area only), I can offer to play with my band "Versuchsanordnung" - we often play shows about Art: www.soundcloud.com/versuchsanordnung
As an alternative, I could also gather some musicians from my own community for Events. Any offers for improvised music events are especially welcome.
I also did compings for lyricists, singers, I often "illustrate" or re-interpret art-exponates on events which I am asked to play on. I played about every imaginable music from Classic, Rock, Funk-Jazz, Afrobeat, live-electronics, been a member of a Musical-Band once, and even comped Mantra-singing events.
I often get asked to do music for Art Events, which I nearly always do when get asked for. Normally I collect some musicians from the free-music-scene of my area (Rhineland). I am an integral part of this very special scene. The Rhineland arae is the one where Bands like Kraftwerk and Can come from. This musical open-mindedness is still there. At least I had the opportunity to play with some earlier bandmembers of both Kraftwerk and Can – some of whom are not alive anymore.
I'm also part of some improvising ensembles like KlangDrangOrchestra / Cologne, a fully improvising orchestra, and also "Flow Ensemble", "Impuls Ensemble". All of them are directed by hand-signs by the director, Peter Wolf. See www.klangdrang.org
Another ensemble is "Marie-Noele Dupuis' "Lichtdirigat". Here, every musician has it's own lamp, that can be turned on and off by the director (M.-N. Dupuis). "On" = play! (Of course this one is a very freejazzy outfit.)
Since 2018 I also play bass and looped guitar with Doppelplus++ (as a guest player).
But the most flexable, creative (and not only improvising) Band is my main "Versuchsanordnung":
Versuchsanordnung follows the simple concept of "painting images in your mind". We also experiment with experimental composing techniques and very much more. Versuchsanordnung never forgets the listener and aims to get improvisations sound like a real composed number.

Main instruments are:
Electric & Acoustic Guitars, Fretless-Bass, Bass-Ukulele, Theremin, MicroKorg, Grand Piano, percussion, flutes, and further instruments to make athmosheres. Everything goes through my live-electronic set for live-looping & further sound manipulations.
