REACH Horses for Healing Spring 2013 Dinner When Evan first came to REACH he cried the whole time. As a child with autism, new things and places are very unsettling. But the quiet patience of our old mare, Aggie, soon won him over and with time, Evan now rides and guides Aggie with focus and concentration. He adapts to new situations with more ease and enthusiasm than he did before he rode. This is just one of the miracles that happen every day at our barn. The rhythmic, repetitive motion of the horse, and the bond formed between a rider and their horse can produce life-changing results. For people living with disabilities, riding can be a means to freedom and independence they may not experience anywhere else. We invite you to attend our third annual Horses for Healing dinner, to help us raise funds to make more stories like Evan's a possibility. Participate in creating this haven of wellness for our disabled friends and neighbors in the Waco Area. Please join us! ““Erika Maassen has a wonderfully expressive voice that can be powerful but also is pleasantly delicate and understated. She brings life to the songs she sings. I have worked with her in both live and recording situations and she brings talent and good humor to the gig.” October 26, 2009 Roy Taylor, Production Manager, Patty Griffin”
