Eric Nelson is a seasoned Americana artist and multi-instrumentalist from Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, known for his seamless fusion of bluegrass, country, folk, rock, blues, and jam. With roots in tradition and a passion for exploration, Eric brings authenticity, versatility, and heart to every note he plays.
A skilled bass, guitar, and ukulele player, Eric finds much of his creative spark on the road—often composing songs on the ukulele during his travels. That sense of movement and discovery is at the heart of his music, which blends vivid storytelling with raw, emotional depth.
Over the years, Eric has performed with a range of bands including American Folk, The Dillweeds, Pat Garrett & The Outlaws, Pat Garrett & Dead Dog Creek, and currently, Blue Moon Posse. He has opened for iconic artists such as David Allan Coe and the Grammy-nominated bluegrass band The Grascals, and also performed live with American Folk on WDVX’s acclaimed Blue Plate Special in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Whether performing solo or as part of a group, Eric Nelson delivers a dynamic, heartfelt experience that honors the roots of Americana while carving out a sound uniquely his own.
