About the Artist

Elijah Ray is a Kaua‘i-based singer-composer, producer, and live-looping pioneer whose work blurs the lines between concert, ceremony, and cinematic experience. For over two decades he has toured the world—headlining festivals, intimate theaters, and sacred spaces, offering his signature Band of Light Jams and SoundLight experiences: cathedral-like walls of layered voice built live in the moment with loop stations, spontaneous songcraft, and a rare gift for harmonic architecture. Elijah’s discography spans 20+ albums and EPs, from his early breakout The Preamble (2004) to his recent “ComePassion” - as well as the SoundLight volumes, a fan favorite - and new works scored for film, immersive wellness spaces, and collaborative stage productions with Lucent Dossier. His recordings and live shows are known for fusing soul, folk-pop, and world-rooted rhythm with expansive choral textures—music that uplifts while carrying the intimacy of a single voice. A seasoned festival and touring artist, Elijah has shared stages with Porangui, Jesse Carmichael (Maroon 5) Nahko, Rising Appalachia, and many others, performing across North America, Europe, Australia, and South America. Audiences often describe his concerts as transformative journeys—moments when a venue becomes a living sound-temple and the boundary between artist and listener dissolves into collective song. Now entering his third decade as a recording and performing artist, Elijah continues to expand his sonic catalogue, compose for multimedia projects, and lead the Band of Light community’s livestream transmissions and Dojo Sessions. On stage solo or with band, Elijah’s through-line is simple and potent: We are all in the Band of Light. Every show invites a shared lift—body, breath, and chorus—where the room becomes an instrument and the audience a choir.
