Well, I take that back. It's not all about changes, but about domestic violence...the holes in the walls tell me you love me most...thanks again...great stuff.

So, Nolchi is one of the best songs I've ever heard. A song about changes and how place figures into them. I do believe, however, that Nolchi is the name of a train line that runs between New Orleans and Chicago. They should be so lucky to have Jessie Phillips -- but WE have her! The song rolls along like a lumbering train...with the whistle blowing (Ms. Phillips' "whoo, ooo, oooo.") Love the sound...reminiscent of Denise BonGiovianni of The Sunshine Club (anyone remember them?), but better. Instrumentation is also very Sunshine Club...but again, better, cleaner, spare, minimal, whatever you want to call it. I call it atmospheric and tasteful. The whole thing makes me want to be crowned King of Nolchi or at least crowd into Ms. Phillips' head with all the others to see what's really there. Great song. Also like all her other pieces very much including Buried Child. Thank you for your great contribution to creep-folk, indie-folk or whatever you want to call this sonic feast!

Sounds Like: Patsy Cline, Neko Case
