Peelander-Green was welcomed in July 2008 after Blue left the band. At their live show, you'll see the band in colorful costumes reminiscent of Japanese Animation, though they describe their outfit as their skin. Their shows guarantee intense audience participation and chance to exercise with the band. ANAMANAGUCHI They wrote the soundtrack for Scott Pilgrim! Anamanaguchi is a chiptune punk band from New York City that "makes loud, fast music with a hacked NES from 1985." The band has four members: lead songwriter Peter Berkman, bassist James DeVito, guitarist Ary Warnaar and drummer Luke Silas. Akin to other chiptune artists, Anamanaguchi creates music using synthesizers, albeit unconventional ones: namely a hacked NES and Game Boy. However, unlike most chiptune bands, Anamanaguchi employs live electric guitar, bass and drums on top of said synthesized music to create a fusion of digital and traditional sounds. VELVA Combining and twisting genres of past and present music, VELVA's form of intelligent 8-bit ambient flavored space rock paints fresh soudscapes with imaginative song lyrics and an impressive rotation of custom-made synth guitars, synthesizers, theremin-based instruments, and circuit-bent toys. KKRUSTY Kkrusty (Mike Taylor) began making electronic music in 2004. After experimenting with many styles, he discovered chiptune (music made using or emulating the sounds of outdated video game and computing hardware) and began composing songs on the Nintendo GameBoy in early 2008. A true road warrior, Kkrusty has played numerous shows in Seattle, Hollywood, Pittsburgh, and all over the midwest. His music mixes sometimes sweet, sometimes epic melodies, pounding and danceable rhythms, (not to mention the occasional 80's hair-metal cover) and never fails to turn any room into a frothing mess of nuclear gleeful madness!
