Rising from the remnants of a studio project, Distant Past now forges ahead with renewed purpose, determined to inspire and ignite a passion for genuine heavy metal. Fuelled by a deep-rooted love for the genre, they bring a fresh energy to the scene, eager to unite fans with their powerful sound and unwavering commitment. Through their music, Distant Past seeks to keep the flame of classic metal burning bright, inviting both old and new metalheads to join their journey and celebrate the enduring spirit of heavy metal.
Like their influences from the NWOBHM Age like the immortal Iron Maiden and the mighty Judas Priest, they are essentially storytellers, with lots of melody and great choruses. The goal is to spread the word of the classic Metal Gospel to all willing metalheads around the world. Their music is a blend of powerful riffs, soaring vocals, and intricate solos that captivate the listener. Each song tells a unique story, drawing the audience into a world of fantasy, history, and emotion. With every performance, they aim to ignite the passion for metal in the hearts of their fans, creating an unforgettable experience that resonates long after the final note.
