DDA is a a core duo of Scott Wilcox (beats, bass, synths, voice) and Jans Ahumada (guitar, exotic instruments, voice). It's mostly on hold though as I score and market my major film, BARDS OF FANTASIA, a heavy metal sci-fi epic. NOW 10:30PM-6AM MDT SATS & SUNDAYS @ rsrtripradio.com, CPUGOD.SYNCHRO.NET, "DJ Scott's Stoner, Power-Folk & Rock Chick Picks". 90min. of remastered rock gems across 6 decades to the present. On top of showcasing unsigned bands west of the Rockies, DJ Scott's radio show deals with several precursors to METAL. The History 1 show addresses some techno experiments, then how that went then how that went mostly wussy between 1970--1980, and there were 3 main counter movements before Judas Priest birthed Techno-Metal: 1) Sabbath and Stoner/doom, 2) Shock, and 3) Punk, which even buried Shock for a while. Then the Shock history episode picks-up in 1983 with Motley Crue and how they (and Kiss & Cooper) again revived shock, and how the only punk still worth revisiting is the heavy-themed-stuff, mostly punk-metal, proto-thrash.. After the history episodes, I have about 15 shows featuring the best unsigned stuff west of the rockies, mostly UT, CO, WA, OR, CA, AZ, even MN. I had this stuff archived anyway from a cancelled HGRR vol. 3 comp-CD, so I figured as I revisit this stuff for enjoyment and production inspiration, I might as well collect it in a convenient format that also works as a 30min, weekly radio show. www.leafpileradio.com
