Q: Hi Debbie, I see you play a bouzouki. What is it like? What is your experience with it - is it fun to play or easy to integrate into your music? I play guitar, bass, mandolin. Roger G7

A: Hi, thanks for your question :) Mine is an Irish Bouzouki, it's a lovely rich sounding instrument, great for chords as the octaved strings give it extra depth. I find the string intervals make playing melodies a little more awkward than on guitar ....though there are various tunings that can be used I've always preferred mandolin tuning, fast jigs and reels are most def easier on a mandolin, the bouzouki can be difficult because of it's wider frets in combination with the 'mando' intervals ...oh and my small hands :D But I just love it : )
