About the Artist

David Michael Catoire is based out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Formerly the lead singer and guitarist for the modern-rock group, Madstone (1998-2002), David has recently resurfaced as an all-in-one singer/songwriter recording artist — as well as founder and lead singer/guitarist for the band The Mythicals — and lists his influences as Elliot Smith, Nick Drake, Stars, Deathcab for Cutie, Fields, Foo Fighters, The Cult, Damien Youth, The Beatles, and The Cure. Having played a number of high profile gigs over the years, including thrice appearing at the annual Anne Rice's Vampire Lestat Fan Club Halloween Ball in New Orleans, David now records solely in his home studio just outside Baton Rouge. He writes and records songs that have virtually nothing to do with squids.
