“Beyond the uncanny is the sublime. My work is the culmination of fourteen years of art education in which I continuously found myself drawn to German Expressionism, Dada, Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, and the Romantic Painter Casper David Friedrich. The songs that I create are a fusion of styles and I owe a lot of my creative investigation based on the sounds from early Skinny Puppy albums, Cabaret Voltaire, The Cure's Pornography, and Sun Ra who a friend recently showed me. The album covers are an extension of the music and are popular culture symbols that have been destroyed through the use of wave generators. The images themselves are reminiscent of Jackson Pollock or a return to modernism post post-modernism. A modernity created from the destruction of Pop culture symbols. Everything I do is based on the concept of direct to press.”
