Dave Hamilton

Dave Hamilton has been playing acoustic folk and Americana music since 1979 mixing his original songs with songs from some of the most well known and respected song writers of the Folk and Americana genres. For 23 years he played with the Sonoma Mt Band of which he was one of the founding members. Recently he has re-emerged as a solo artist, a duo, a trio and occasionally a quartet playing throughout Sonoma and Marin counties. He has been backed by Bill Iberti on guitar and mandolin, Michael Lindner and Terry Larson on bass, Steve Della Maggiora on guitar and, occasionally, Adam Traum and Steve Harr on guitar and Bobby Lee on pedal steel. Dave is a multi award winning songwriter with the West Coast Songwriters Association and was voted best singer/songwriter of the year in the northbay for the Norbay music awards of 2017 and 2018, acoustic musician for 2019, folk category for 2020 and 2021. For the Norbays of 2022, Dave was voted best in two categories, Folk and Americana. For 2023 and 2024 Dave was voted best again in the Folk category. He has released three CD's, "Back Roads of my Mind", in 2008 , "Thinking About Time" in 2012 and "Ten Cent Prize" in 2018.. All three can be purchased or downloaded at cdbaby.com.
