Dartgun and the Vignettes, Portland's own psychedelic punk rock doo-wop group, delivers deviant love songs, defiant diatribes, and guitar-driven velveteen chaos. The sound is like anarchy at the roller rink.
Dartgun was formed in 2004 by Portland native Chuck Thrust, the guitar-bashing Sermonator, lead vocalist, songwriter and occasional saxophone player. Bass player Chad Did It's smooth clank combined with Thrust's jagged chop to create the core of the Dartgun trio.
Backup singers Christine, Suzie Q and Abie serve up taming tones and haunting hymns to balance the bombast and secure the spectacle.
With hard-rocking Nathan Thorsen on drums, and the psychedelic keyboards of Dr. Bob Fountain.

Dartgun and the Vignettes are featured on the compilation CDs Blown Fuses Bloody Ears I and II from Volume Bomb Records, as well as on Volume Bomb's 7-inch comp A Fist Full of Singles and the full length red vinyl record Volume Bomb The Cops, along with Dead Kennedys, MDC, DOA, and some great local bands. The band's self-titled full length CD is now available locally.
