About the Artist

Pastor, Artist, Songwriter: Danny Norman is rapidly becoming one of America's most beloved Christian Country singers and songwriters with his energetic and contagious enthusiastic style. Danny's orginial material has set him apart in both Southern Gospel and Christian Country genres. From Carbondale, Illinois, he has shared the stage with "Gospel greats" like Jeff & Sheri Easter, the Lester's, Brian Free & Assurance, the Bowling's, Crystal River and Gold City Quartet. His headlining events have brought him even more into the national eye with venues like "Hope For Kids Series Concerts, and the Indie Music Channel with Christorper Ewing. Danny's past successful projects include "The Promised Land," of which six of the songs off this project were written by Danny himself in an attempt to bring a sense of sincerity to Southern and Christian Country. His music is true, real, and passionate. Every lyric comes from the heart and every note comes from deep down inside. Several fortunate events led to Danny's decision in packing up his dreams and recording at Daywind Studio in Hendersonville TN. Danny has had eight radio releases since January 2010, realizing successful airplay on both XM Satellite and FM radio formats. Most recently, Danny continued to enlist Nashville music industry companies to enable him to gain more exposure on a national level. Some of the agencies are Catacomb Music, Spin-N-Motion, 371 Films, and EHA-Nashville. His latest video, "Reasons," is produced by Kevin Hayes of 371 Films, directed by Scott Lucas of Catacomb, radio promoted by Tony and Kim Hudgins of Spin-N-Motion, and publicized through Nashville Publicist and Manager, Evie Hawkins, of EHA-Nashville. When I was a young boy I spent hours playing music and singing in my father's nightclub. Up until the age of 16 it was not uncommon for me to travel and sing in other local clubs. My taste in life was always music, I slept it, and lived it every day. In 1977 a tragedy turned my world upside down, and then around, when my brother and his fiancé were both killed, removing a television antenna that made contact with an electrical line. At that time I found a new purpose for my life. One year after giving my life to Christ I was called into the ministry, something I have been doing now for over 30 years. Two years ago I was planning to take my wife on a vacation, something we do every year. When I asked her the place that she'd like to visit, she didn't hesitate to answer that she wanted us to go to Nashville,Tennessee; but not for a vacation, she wanted me to fulfill a lifelong dream of recording a gospel CD. That's when it all began for me, I met with a producer at Daywind Studios, in Henderson TN. and began recording. I released two projects in 2010, and will be releasing a new project this spring 2011. One of my songs was released on Red Hen Records a song titled "No One Quite Like You" that went #1. on the archives of Radio Active Air play, on December 7th 2010. My newest release is the opening video you viewed on my home page titled "Rescue Me" that reached the #2. spot on Radioactiveairplay.com last year.
