I grew up in northwest Georgia in a little community called Silver Creek, located near Rome GA. I was taught the values of loving my Creator, respecting others and believing with God's help I can do anything.
I first started writing lyrics back in 2007, I entered The Great American Songwriting Contest in 2008 and that is when I found out about SongU.com. I became a member and I started taken the DIY courses then I when on to take the instructor led classes. I began to use their coaching to get my lyrics critiqued and evaluated. Learning & working to sharping my raw skills as a lyricist into a competitive commercial lyricist. Along the way I got some great, good and some bad feedback on my writing but it was all helpful into making me a better writer.
In 2009 I joined NSAI. I submitted my first lyric for an evaluation. It was then when I meet Sandy Ramos who co-wrote with me on "Life As I Knew It'. She has been a friend and mentor to me ever since. She has helped me and taught me a lot. I can't thank her enough!
I received my Lyric Certification from SongU.com June 2011. I have been fortunate to come in contact with some great people over the years who have co-written with me on my songs bringing my lyrics to life. Each bringing their musical abilities & talents to the project.
I've gotten several independent cuts. A large number of my songs are signed with publishing companies receiving great reviews and feedback on them! I'm constantly trying to improve to achieve my goals...
