About the Artist

Dan Carollo is a fingerstyle guitarist who performs a blend of contemporary and traditional Irish/American tunes and hymns, primarily in DADGAD tuning. He has performed or recorded with numerous musicians, including uilleann piper Eliot Grasso, fiddle player Brandon Vance, fiddle player Randal Bays, button accordion player Daniel Possumato, fiddle player Susan Burke and singer and folklorist Stewart Hendrickson Music from his CD "Communion of Saints" was featured in the BBC TV program Britain's Lost Routes with Griff Rhys Jones, the "Pilgrims" episode. Live music and interview featured on the Horizons Podcast with Mary Fagan of the Diocese of County Kerry, Ireland. See November 6th, 2016 episode on Radio Kerry. Music from his second CD release, "Miles From Dublin", as well as some original scoring was included an independent film "The Dark Horse" by Seattle film director Cornelia Duryée Moore. Dan's "Miles from Dublin" was added to the Irish Traditional Music Archive in Dublin, Ireland and listed in the January/February 2007 issue of "The Journal of Music in Ireland". In 2004, Dan was selected "Northwest Folk Artist of the Month" on KBCS 91.3. Dan plays Taylor Guitars, and an Alvarez baritone guitar. Dan currently lives in Sammamish, WA.
