My story:
A lifetime of poor choices left me broken at rock bottom. I had no choice but to GET REAL, DEAL and HEAL.
I started on a long journey of recovery. Now, I’m a musician on a mission - a mission of hope, encouragement, ministry, and love - to reach out to the lost and saved alike - to meet people where they are and walk with them toward a deeper life in Christ.
I called my debut EP "Have You Met My Friend, Jesus?" because I want to introduce or re-introduce people to Jesus as I’ve come to know Him over the last several years. He’s my closest friend, someone who truly loves me unconditionally and guides my steps with a gentle hand and a still, small voice—a good, good Father.
My musical influences run the gamut from folk and Americana to grunge and roots rock. I think K-LOVE listeners and fans of faith-based rock and pop music will find something freshly familiar. As a ‘solo’ artist and as a member of Taking Ground, I’ve been blessed to share the stage with national recording & touring artists I AM THEY, Citizen Way, Hawk Nelson, Tasha Layton, Jamie Kimmett, Flame, Everfound, and others as well as regional acts like Jordan Biel, The Dave Buchanan Band, StillWaiting, A Day Awaits, and more. I founded the Principle 8 Band (formerly The Miraculous Catch Of Fish) as a revolving team of musicians in support of the mission and ministry. In an effort to simplify my brand, I now perform and record under the name, Principle 8 with old and new friends alike.
Pre-COVID, I was a regular volunteer at my home church—singing and leading worship from the acoustic, electric, and bass guitar. I also led worship and the Men’s Life Issues group most Saturday nights at Celebrate Recovery. Professionally, I’ve been supporting my family as a Realtor since 2002. Now, along with that, God has called me to something new, trusting that He will provide for this ministry in His time.
I hope after listening to my music, you’ll see this ministry as a good fit for your event, playlist or compilation. I pray for the Lord’s direction in putting us together for the glory of His Kingdom.
