A Mississippi-born Dirty-South Southern, D1T | Da’ #1 Trend grew up between two worlds: his family’s deep ties to gospel music and the years he spent soaking up popular music on the radio and from music video shows. His pop style can be compared to a mix of Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder and his own originality. His deft arrangements and songwriting abilities have landed him in the spotlight in the American music industry and the UK music industry, garnering critical acclaim from various outlets in the industry.
D1t started his career early, crafting his first songs, writing for his child hood band in the early 80s when he was still in middle school. Since then, he’s gone on to release many singles and Eps on SoundCloud, YouTube, blogs, and many major streaming outlets like Spotify, iTunes, etc. No date is set for his first album release, but he hopes to have it ready for release by next year loaded with fun party dance songs like (“Get Down”) and more personal narratives speaking to life and love in the digital age like his Crazy (Coronavirus Song”).
