Craig James started his pro music career in 1978 in Bulawayo, Rhodesia on Drums and Vocals for "The Mike Stewart Band". In 1980 he moved to Pretoria, South Africa and joined the Hansie Roodt/Paul Ferns Show Band. He went on to perform with the bands ,Riksja, Lazer, Scottfree, Rio, Who's News (Founder Member), My Anniversary (Studio Project with Junior Botha) and the Mauritz Lotz group "Razor."
He has also performed on over 300 albums either on Drums or Vocals. Who's News achieved much success in South Africa. They also did the corporate market in the U.S and performed New Years Eve in Dubai at The Hilton Jumeirah Beach Hotel for 6 years in a row,
Craig has produced over 120 albums for the SA Music market achieving massive sales. He released his only solo album "The Road Less Travelled" in 2009 which is a mix of Pop, Rock and Country music.
Craig moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2010 where he joined "The Blues Other Brothers" amongst various other groups. Craig has toured extensively in The USA. He mainly works in his studio in Nashville now.
