I have been writing songs for many years, tracing all the way back to 5th grade when I fronted an elementary school band called “The Fleas.” At the time, I was pretty sure The Fleas would overtake The Beatles. Alas, it didn’t happen. During this period, I wrote my first song, a dance tune called “The Flea” in which the lyrics specifically describe the dance moves so you could actually follow along and do the dance. IMHO, this should have become a national dance craze like The Twist. Yeah, once again, it didn’t happen. Such is life. In any case, I haven’t recorded “The Flea” on this collection of my songs here on Reverbnation (I probably should!), but other than that, you’ll find a wide assortment of songs I’ve written over the years since college and up to the present day. You’ll find some love songs, some sad songs, a lot of blues, a lot of soul, a bit of country, a cover or two, and a couple of obligatory Trump rants just to get his toxicity out of my system. Songwriting and singing have always been a very private, honest, heartfelt endeavor for me, a sacred space to bare my soul in the shadows and work things out. Now that I have reached this latter stage of life, I realize there is no reason not to share my songs with a wider audience. My songs mean a lot to me and will let you know more about my truest self. If I am not going to share all that now . . . then when? For background, songwriting has always been a personal passion rather than a career for me but I have published a few of my songs and I’d like to do more of that in the future. My songs are "out from undercover" now so I can share them with a wider audience -- all of you. I hope you'll enjoy my music!
