"There’s a lot more to plowin’ than reachin’ the end of the row.” There’s a lot of gospel influence running through his songs, something he has in common with writing partner Farnell Cole. Yinger ran across Cole on MySpace in 2009, was struck by “just the way the guy turns a phrase"; the rest is history. “Though we come from two very different places, thousands of miles apart, Dave and I believe in many of the same things. Add to that, we both like 'good' music, so after exchanging a few 'let’s get to know each other' emails, it seemed natural that we should write songs together,” says Cole. The two have yet to meet face to face, but they trade their songs back and forth over the Internet before having them produced by Lonnie Ratliff and Vaughn Lofstead at Nashville’s Smokehouse Studio.
