Cliffside Rodeo

Cliffside Rodeo, a band from Colorado’s northern Front Range, has dropped its first album, Cliffside Rodeo Plays Smitty’s Garage. Through twelve original tunes, the band explores its unique modern take on western swing, Americana blues, and country rock -- reminiscent of Bob Wills, Willie Nelson, and Asleep at the Wheel. When Covid shut down live venues, the quartet hunkered down in the garage to write and rehearse its own material. In the tradition of roots and swing music, the songs focus on telling real human stories with a hot and twangy beat that keeps the joint hoppin’ and the beer flowing. The band’s sound is centered on rootsy electric guitar and bass and driven by toe tapping drum work – with saxophone and vocal harmonies to sweeten the deal.
