Nashville-based singer-songwriter Christa Wells has been best known as the writer of Natalie Grant’s hit single “Held,” which broke the mold in inspirational songwriting and earned Christa the GMA Songwriter of the Year award in 2006. Christa is also a co-writer on Plumb’s hit singles “Need You Now" and "God Help Me."
Christa has independently released four solo albums since 2009. Kevin Davis of New Release Tuesday called her 2013 release Feed Your Soul his “Top Gourmet Album of the Year” and Highwire Daze described it as “one of the most engaging albums of the year.”
In February 2015, Christa released COVERS, an ep of re-imagined alternative songs from the 80s and 90s, and plans to release a new album of originals in 2018.
