Artist Name: Chris Renaud was born in North Bay, Ontario on October the 28th 1974. At the early age of 8 I started to compete in Country Music Singing Competitions such as the Canadian Open Country Singing Contest where performers such as Beverley Mahood, The Wilkinsons and Gil Grand also competed.
After capturing a win in The Ontario Open, I recorded my first original single "Love Is Blind" It was aired on over 200 Radio stations Nationwide and did very well in the charts. I started my first group "YOUNG COUNTRY" in 1990. 4 young men consisting of myself as lead vocals and rythum, Drums: Jessy Coutu, Bass: Scott Aultman and Lead Guitar: Bill Boissonneault. We played all over Ontario and became very popular as a young group. After just three years we picked up a manager to help promote me as a young upcoming Artist and Young Country as a group. We recorded our first demo in 1994 and raised over 100,000 in sponsorship to get us going. One morning I woke to discover that this so call manager up and left with the money and left behind studio costs and unpaid instrument bills. As a result we played a bit longer but split up as a group. My dreams of being a well known country music entertainer had been shattered. I just continued to play festivals and local events. It was not until recently after a marriage break up that I started to pursue that dream again. So........I haven't put my trust in anyone in a very long time but if reverb nation or any of its members can help me to finally launch this dream I will GLADY accept and offers or opportunities given to me.
