I'm playing the 1st & 3rd Thursdays in November & December at Port Cape Girardeau. So if you think you might forget; mark a teeny, red checkmark or one of those "smiley face" things in the upper right-hand corner of those upcoming Thursday’s on your social calendar, as a reminder. I'm pretty darn sure it will be my usual hodge-podge of original tunes, mixed quite tastefully, if I do say so myself, with old folk classics and my esoteric musical “stylizations" of some favorite artists from yesterday & today. Mostly yesterday. Hopefully you’ll recognize a few of them. Hopefully I’ll remember some of the chords. Hopefully everyone will start throwing back shots of Patrón tequila and not really notice I’ve forgotten most of the lyrics to the 2nd verse... and part of the chorus... and the chords during the bridge section... and what I did last Tuesday... and my dog's name... Sparky, I think?
Wow... is that a Thursday I see stuck right in-between Wednesday and Friday on this week's calendar? Can that be correct? Why yes, I believe it is... and you know what that means, right? Uh-huh, I'll be strumming around on a guitar and singing them good ole numbers you've come to know and tolerate. Why not make your way on down to Water St., check out the flood-wall murals and then, take advantage of Port Cape's $2.50 PROJECT - special pricing on your favorite libations - and appetizer discounts too. I’ll wait until you get there to play all the songs you'll hear after you arrive... promise. Maybe we'll do a group sing of every verse to "99 Bottles Of Beer On The Wall"... or maybe we'll do that at a later date... You won't know if you don't show!
