Hey y'all! I apologize for the late notification, but wanted to get out a quick email regarding a Songwriting contest I'm in tomorrow night in Canby, OR. (see below for specifics). My cousin Terri sent me a facebook link a couple of weeks ago to a songwriting contest, so I forwarded over a couple of my songs for consideration, and ya know what? Somebody liked them and they've put me in the finals (along with the 2 other finalists, Tim Wong and Bruce Kent) over at "The Place to Be Cafe" in downtown Canby. Additionally, they'll have a featured performer, Shane Brown. It'll be an awesome night, so come join me...and yes, they sell beer, wine, etc. I hope everyone had a great holiday season! This is an Art Stroll and (and open auction on Saturday, April 12th) for a great cause...music at venues all over town to benefit the students of the Sisters School District. Come join us at this great gallery and wine shop!
Hey y'all, Got a fun gig gonna be happening this Wednesday night down at "Al's Den" (McMenamins) as part of John Elliott's summer residency. He'll be putting on some great shows all week, but I got invited to play on Wednesday night. This will certainly be fun!
Friday, February 3rd, I'll be playing a songwriter night over at Insomnia Coffee Company in Hillsboro (over by the 'Streets of Tanasbourne' mall). This is a new venue for me, close to home, and I'm excited to get something started there. The host is Portland singer-songwriter Steve Rodin, and he's invited me to play a set with a couple other performers. I'm pumped. This one is all ages, so bring 'em all!
