Chris D. Wildcat ...is of course not my real name!
It dates back to '84, and started as a bit of a joke. Because of a 'strange' letter in my real name, people kept on messing it up. (Check out explanation on the website).
I kept the name (Yeah, my real given name is actually Chris!).
I started writing songs back in '74, and has now written over 3000 songs! (So if you need a song just drop me a line and let's make a deal).
I've been playing in various local bands (Earl Grey, Hector, The Rebels, Catchabilly, Somebody Could, The Sentimentals, Alleycatz, Platzomania, etc.) and I've done a lot of solo acts.
Which brought me on national television back in '92, where I sang the well-known Carl Perkins classics, "Blue Suede Shoes", with around 1,5 million spectators. Because of education, jobs and family it was hard keeping the music as a single income.
Despite that, I've been playing in various countries over the years: Denmark, Germany, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Poland, France, Romania, Sweden, U.K., The Netherlands (at the famous 'Maloe Melo' club in Amsterdam).
In May/June 2009 I went on a trip to the U.S.A., and played in Memphis(TN), Nashville(TN), Fredericksburg(TX), Bandera(TX), San Antonio(TX). I recorded several songs in Memphis(TN)(SUN Studio), Nashville(TN) and La Vergne(TN).
In April 2010 I released the album "Rockin' Is My Business" - Available everywhere!
2011: Released "Down At The Diner" and "Burning Out".
2014: Released "Get Well Soon" and "After I'm Gone"
2015: Released "Magic No More"
2018: Released "Soul Searchin' (25th Anniversary Edition)"
2019: Released "The KING of Foolz (20th Anniversary Extended Edition)"

Inspirations:
Nearly ev'rything rockin' & a-boppin' from the fifties USA.
Pub-rock/New Wave from the seventies UK.
A lot of country, jazz- & blues performers. SUN Studio (!)
But most of all, it's the songwriting and energy in the music that matters.
(Not just happy-go-lucky songs, but also songs with a spiff...)
