Q: yo nathan nasby! looks like you found your microphone. what's the worst mic you use? peace. nati 'n k7

A: Hey nati 'n k7! Great question. It's true that there are different mics for different voices. I love my Lauten Atlantis FC-387 and it's my go to vocal mic. Worst mic I ever used was an OKTAVA ML 52-02 ribbon Mic. Didn't matter what mic pre or setup I used, it was dull and had a totally flat response. If I pushed the gain at all I got so much self noise that it was beyond salvage. I love ribbons, but the best place for an OKTAVA ML 52-02 would be the recycle bin. Cheers bro.
