These songs are largely inspired by current events and as a way to share ideas with fellow collaborators. I taught myself to play guitar, drums and air organ when I was youngish with a little help from the radio AFRTS. Being an Army brat our family moved a lot, but it was in Woodbridge, VA when I started playing music with Ken Hougasian/ Dennis Decker and the rest follows. At TAMU I played with James Phillips, Greg Mausser, Doug Jones and Brian. After college I landed in Austin, but I missed my band mates so then its the Cinco Dudes - based in Houston- along with Keith, John, Rick and Fred we rocked. Always the rolling stone, I moved back to Austin and soon started playing music with Jen, Jody, David, Kevin and Kirk - ala Elizabeth. Time pasted- living in Brooklyn and then back to Austin in versions of the Charles Roe and I didn't even know we were a band. My fellow collaborators include include Steve McCarthy, Larry Jackson, Chris Desantis, Tommy O'Brien, Todd Smith, Patrick Nolan, Jason Saunders, Parker Roe, Sid & Lisa, Andy Berry, Scott Randolph, Scott Flory, Eddie Garcia plus other far out friends in Peru, Brazil or Australia. I like to tell a simple story and try to create sounds that are fresh but familiar.
