About the Artist

Cascadia Big Band is a 16 piece community jazz band comprised of serious musicians from the Seattle area. The type of music we play consists of post-swing ear Big Band music with great instrumentals and some dance and vocal tunes (featuring big band music of Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Count Basie, Thad Jones, Mel Lewis, Kenny Clarke, Francy Boland Big Band, etc.) We play community festivals, clubs/restaurants, public gatherings, parties, and the occasional flash mob. Some of the venues that we regularly perform at include: Tula’s, The Royal Room, Ballard Locks, Third Place Commons in Lake Forest Park, Mill Creek Town Center, etc.
