Carol Elliott received the prestigious honor of being on the 2024–2026 Texas Touring Roster, sponsored by Texas Commission on the Arts. From her roots as a street performer in San Francisco to working with Nashville legends like Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, and brilliant songwriter David Olney, Carol’s career is nothing short of extraordinary. Her songwriting prowess, alongside Wendy Waldman, earned them the coveted Wrangler Award from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame for "Corn, Water and Wood," recorded by Michael Martin Murphey on COWBOY CHRISTMAS.
A favorite at the Kerrville Folk Festival, Carol toured twice with the Women of Kerrville, alongside acclaimed Texas artists Eliza Gilkyson, Tish Hinojosa & Christine Albert.
Her gift for lyrics shines in her poetry—recognized early on when she was accepted to attend the first Sewanee Writers' Conference. After hearing her sing, U.S. Poet Laureate Howard Nemerov famously said, "If I could sing like that, I wouldn't bother with poetry."
Carol’s international acclaim includes a record deal with TAXIM Records in Germany and a televised performance on GELD ODER LIEBER (Money or Love), broadcast to millions. She has released six studio albums of original material. Elliott's latest release, SURVIVAL MACHINE, was produced by Grammy Award-winner Joe Reyes, who frequently performs with her.
