SIERRA SCHOOL OF THE PERFORMING ARTS presents… ROGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN'S “CINDERELLA” (Based on the 1957 and 1965 TV movies) September 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, & 13 at 7:30pm at HAWKINS AMPHITHEATRE at BARTLEY RANCH, RENO 6000 Bartley Ranch Road Reno NV 89511 Directed by Janet Lazarus Music Direction by Terry Thompson Choreography by Amanda Albert The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium. Its recreation in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren was no less successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits. This production features a live orchestra, a cast of over 50, and Yours Truly as the Fairy Godmother – “Impossible!... things are happening every day!”
