Cabin of Love is veteran singer/songwriter Julia Bloom and multi-instrumentalist, producer and sound engineer Nathan Bloom. Nathan and Julia have been partners in music and life for over 25 years. They have performed and recorded their eclectic mix of folk/pop/rock original and cover songs in all kinds of venues; while raising and launching two delightful humans, holding down day jobs, and fixing up old houses, including their current home of eight years in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The Blooms recorded their first full-length CD, firstfruits, in 1998, and their second, Thirty Nine, in 2014. Their most recent album, an EP called CoL@home, was released in 2020 (in conjunction with one of its songs, "Slowly Exploding," being featured in the Twin Cities Public Television show Hippocrates Cafe: Reflections on the Pandemic).
Julia Bloom has recorded three solo projects, A Human Called Woman in 2005; a holiday EP, Halo in the Frost, in 2013; and Forty Nine, released in 2024.
Nathan and Julia also play with the Americana band The Foragers.
