Burning Red Sun is a Alt/Rock band from Central New Jersey. It features founding members Ken Lazorchak, Mike Gomez.
Ken Lazorchak - Ken is no stranger to the NJ rock scene. He previously played in renowned bands such as Laughen Bones and The Lost Highway Ramblers. Ken was even mentored by the great blues legend Roy Buchanan. His love of rock is eclectic and his music shows it. Influences of The Kinks, Jimi Hendrix, and Queens of the Stone Age, as well as many other greats can be heard in many of his songs.
Mike Gomez – Hailing from Detroit, Mike is a newcomer to NJ, but not to the music scene. He is best known as the former bass player for Concrete Pillow, a well known Detroit blues band. Influences of Led Zeppelin, Rush, the Beatles, and Kiss can be heard in his music.
Michael Brennan: Mike is a native of Trenton NJ and grew up surrounded by a diverse creative population. He got involved skateboarding and music in his late teens and continued through his adult life.
Currently, Mike is a drummer, playing all Tama Drums, Zildjiian cymbals, and pork pie percussion. He is also a singer and has recently taken an interest in furthering his guitar skills. His influences rnge from disco,rap,80's punk, hardcore to singer/songwriter. he is a great addition to BRS and will certainly add to there sound and new musical ideas.
Burning Red Sun’s debut album Living on the Edge of Time has received critical acclaim. They where signed with JMD Records/Universal Music Group for this album and can be seen at many NY/NJ/PA clubs and events.They are also big on helping different causes. They completed there second Album titled "From Dawn to Dust" which was released on 4-20-16. Many of the songs on this album have been featured on Factory Fast Records/ NYC compilation albums and the full album can be listened to at www.burningredsun.bandcamp.com. the new album is also getting lots of attention from the music industry.
