Brian J. MacShain

Brian is a Philly area singer-songwriter whose style draws from the folk and Americana traditions. He released his first full-length album, "Pennamite," in 2026. Brian was a Philadelphia Folk Factory "People's Choice" selection in 2024 and 2025 and his music has been featured on WPPM-FM and Folk Music Notebook. Brian's influences include Steve Earle, James McMurtry, Johnny Cash, Chris Smither, Charlie Parr, Rodney Crowell, Christy Moore, Gordon Lightfoot, Mark Knopfler, Shane MacGowan, Townes Van Zandt, and The Band.
