“Sunday, 25 November 2012Bobby Wills - If It Was That Easy On Ramp Records After spending a number of years in essence serving a country music apprenticeship, Canadian artist Bobby Wills finally believes he has a record that may permeate the mainstream market. However in realisation of how tough it can be to crack the corporate driven Nashville labels and their tight collaboration with country radio, Bobby and his team are prepared to widen their appeal and have included Europe as a target audience for future development. IF IT WAS THAT EASY is in effect the second full length release for Bobby Wills but the team assembled during its production has ensured that the final finished package is a top notch effort with a quality sound that should be the signal to alert the big guns.”

“And it was both of those things Wills has since immersed himself in, having released a debut Man With No Past a couple of years ago — his single A Little More Time went Top 40 — and now releasing what he thinks is his most focused and best effort, the album If It Was That Easy, which gets released Tuesday on the Nashville-based On Ramp Records label, with major Canadian distribution through EMI. The catchy, traditionally-leaning disc has the industry buzzing thanks in part to the first single Show Some Respect which hit Top 5 on this nation’s country charts, but, Wills thinks there’s so much more to it, so much depth to the material, and is such an incredible representation of the man and artist he is. “I definitely wear my heart on my sleeve when it comes to my music,” he says. “Even if it’s tongue in cheek there’s often a connection somewhere in my life.” He pauses and laughs, “I’ve probably given too much away. But there’s probably a connection to my life s”

“BOBBY WILLS ARTIST SPOTLIGHT By Paul Tuch paul.tuch@nielsen.com "A Little More Time," the new single from Bobby Wills, debuts at No. 45 on the Country format chart and is bubbling under the Canadian Emerging Artists chart. Wills was born in Edmonton and now calls Calgary home. Unlike many other artists, he wasn't bitten with the music bug until later in life. Once he decided on a musical career, he fronted a local band called the Chase before branching out on a solo career, and playing the local club circuit. In 2004, he won a singer/songwriter contest in Calgary which resulted in a demo and beganc a series of trips to Nashville where he met some local songwriters. His album "Man With No Past," is influenced by singers like George Straitand Clint Black in combinationwith modem Country sounds and an R&B edge. Early believers at radio for "A Little More Time" include CICX Midland, CICS Sudbury, ClGV Penticton, CFCW Edmonton, CFQX Winnipeg, CHAM Hamilton and CHBX London”

“Bobby Wills is a rare find. As a singer, he has a tonality and believablility that immediately draw you in. As a writer, he knows exactly what he wants to say. Getting your story, thoughts and heart condensed into song form that's relatable to others is a skill that many don't have. As a person, he's a solid guy. He loves his family, works extremely hard and most of all, has integrity. He has passed every litmus test I have as an artist and a human being. I truly, truly believe in him and think you will too.”
