About the Artist

Blood of Angels is a heavy metal force that has been redefining extreme music from their home base in Tampa, Florida. Fusing aggressive, angry, and darkly melodic elements with a passion for cathartic expression, the band channels negative emotions into powerful anthems that resonate deeply with metal enthusiasts. With influences spanning death metal, black metal, thrash, melodic death metal, and extreme metal, Blood of Angels creates a sound that is both raw and sophisticated. At the heart of Blood of Angels is a group of talented musicians whose chemistry elevates every performance. Frontman Randy Reyes, handling vocals and acoustic guitar, delivers a powerful and emotive presence that anchors the band’s sound. Aaron Robinson’s dynamic guitar work provides intricate riffs and soaring solos that complement Reyes’s aggressive style. Jonathan Rushford, on drums and keyboards, weaves together complex rhythms and atmospheric layers, adding depth to the music. Completing the quartet is The Maggot, whose bass lines and background vocals create a robust, driving groove that underpins the band’s dark aesthetic. The band’s discography mirrors their evolution as artists. Their latest release, “2025 Les Angst ov Thanatou” (translated as “The Fear of Death”), is a concept album that explores themes of mortality and existential dread. The album’s narrative is interwoven with searing guitar riffs and pounding rhythms, marking a new chapter in their journey while staying true to their core identity. This release demonstrates their willingness to experiment within the heavy metal genre while maintaining the aggressive edge that defines their music. Accolades have been a significant part of Blood of Angels’ journey, affirming their position as rising stars in the metal scene. The band’s trophy case includes several prestigious awards such as the 2023 Hollywood Independent Music Award for “Best Rock/Metal Song” and the 2023 Akademia Award “Hall of Fame.” Earlier recognitions, including the 2021 Akademia Award “Rising Star Award,” the 2019 Akademia Award “Executive Director Award,” and multiple honors in 2017 and 2018 for categories such as “Best Heavy Metal EP,” “Best Heavy Metal Song,” and “Best Metal/Hardcore Song,” are a testament to their technical prowess and artistic vision. In every note and every performance, Blood of Angels channels the transformative power of heavy metal. Their relentless pursuit of artistic excellence, combined with a deep respect for the genre’s heritage, ensures that every song and live show is a testament to the cathartic potential of music. As they continue to captivate audiences with their innovative and emotionally charged sound, Blood of Angels stands poised to leave a lasting mark on the heavy metal scene.
