Billy McDowell

After a career in television and digital media, McDowell is turning his focus to the music industry where he plans to create music and write songs. Several years ago, he joined the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and is enjoying learning more about the art of songwriting. Early on, he was listed as “One to Watch” based on his original songs. He recently signed with BMI and his first EP will be available across all digital music sales and streaming sites early in January 2019. The EP tilted “Beautiful Dreamer” is an Americana mix with influences in folk, rock, country, jazz and blues. McDowell joined the professional music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia in college and sang in and directed select ensembles and choirs. He also played guitar and bass in several bands. He is looking forward to seeing where this new journey leads him and the friends he will meet along the way.
