Barbiturate is an avant-garde death metal band that formed in 2011 featuring NY musicians Brett Weatherston (Bass Guitar), Matt Scriva (Guitars) and Charles Greenberg (Vocals). For over a decade Barbiturate has been relentless in purveying high quality abstract death metal to fans around the world.
Many Barbiturate albums feature artwork from internationally renowned tattoo artists, from the cover art, down to the CD, and the band logo itself.
Following the release of Barbiturate's first album "DEEP", the band picked up their second lead guitarist Chris Clemente (Compulsion), and got to work in short order, releasing: the "Pendulum EP", "Too Deep", "Too Deep II", "Deeply Troubled" & "Off The Deep End", with "Too Deep III" nearing completion soon.
With the band HQ relocating to Georgia in 2021, Barbiturate is set to continue to be the most prolific avant-garde metal band that you ain't never heard of.
