About the Artist

ATHANATOR is an unyielding institution of South American thrash metal. Hailing from the gritty underground of Medellín, Colombia, these veterans have spent over three decades delivering a relentless onslaught of speed, precision, and pure, uncompromising intensity. Formed in 1989, Athanator has defied the trends of an ever-changing heavy music landscape. Staying fiercely true to their roots while constantly evolving, the band has forged a legacy defined by razor-sharp musicianship and a fiercely loyal global fanbase. Their devastating discography features landmark releases such as Earth of Blood (2004), Architect of Disaster (2009), Memento Mori (2018), and their acclaimed 2023 studio album, Tanatomorfosis. Now, to celebrate 35 years of sonic warfare, Athanator unleashes Skull Collector—a special anniversary vinyl release. This definitive collection features ten meticulously selected, re-envisioned anthems from their storied history, alongside a devastating brand-new track: “Circle of Violence.” Serving as a brutal appetizer for their forthcoming 2027 full-length album, “Circle of Violence” delivers crushing riffs, heavy marching drums, and searing vocals. Athanator isn't just celebrating history; they are paving the way for the next chapter of absolute thrash domination.
