“Keeping a relentless beat on many cover songs by groups like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the Foo Fighters, the blazing sticks of Rob Chowan provided that driving rhythm so necessary for this powerhouse trio. When Thee Empty Hours stopped performing for a decade or so, the various members played with other groups such as Run Perry Run, Floater, The Reuben James IV, The Luminols, and Wisconsin. For the past three or four years, the current trio has been performing in the city at private parties and clubs such as Brando's, McLachlin House, Liquid Lounge, and in Toronto at various venues, including one of their favourites, The Hideout. Both Paul and Reuben play solo gigs, have recording studios, and Reuben has produced a CD, Reuben James, So You Wanna Be A Gunfighter, which is quite popular.
