DJ Guerito is one of the hottest DJ’s in the industry, leaving lasting impressions on Denver’s club scene. His weekly podcast, published at http://djguerito2013.podomatic.com is growing daily, consistently appearing among the top 10 podcasts in Denver and has made its way to listeners in over 50 countries worldwide.
It began with a raw recording of a practice set, that he submitted to an established Denver DJ, whom invited him to make his debut at Blush & Blue After hours. Not long after this first time performance, DJ Guerito made the life changing decision to quit his “day job” and put 100% into building a career as a DJ. Within 3 months Guerito had landed 2 weekly residencies and a monthly residency. He also graciously accepted the offer to be the featured DJ for all 3 days of Pride Fest Denver 2013 at Broadways, which evolved into one of the weekly residencies aforementioned. His second residency, he took a risk with an unestablished nightclub just outside the Metro area, Lipstick Discotheque was a short lived experience, due to lack of attendance, the status of the establishment is currently undetermined. His first residency, a monthly appearance at Leela European Cafe, also provided him the opportunity to try his hand in the booking side of the industry. Being the first gig he acquired it served many purposes in several areas, but mainly as a hands on, in the field training ground. Over the past 2 years he has built a very impressive following at his longest standing residency, Mary Jane’s Pizza which still proves to draw his biggest crowd of any residency to date. When he started this “HANDTOSSED HOUSE” Thursday night regular it was on the understanding he would be performing for exposure without compensation unless sales for that particular evening noticeably increased. Within 6 months he began to be paid for his performance every week and continues to show increased sales when he performs this weekly event. Guest appearances include, The Infinity Center, The Living Room, The Polished Tavern, Vinyl Nightclub, The Compound, Hudson’s Bar & Grill, Cervantes Other Side, The XBar, Tracks Nightclub, The Oriental Theater, Byron White Federal Courthouse for Support Marriage Equality in Colorado, Whittier ECE-8 School, Club Q in Colorado Springs and in June 2014 he was invited to perform at Pride Fest Denver, on the Smirnoff World Dance Stage, his first ever appearance on one of the main stages at this epic event, which hosted over 350,000 people from all over the nation. This year also permitted DJ Guerito an opportunity to showcase his Vegas style stage presence, when he rocked a packed house at Bar 8042 at the Ameristar Resort and Casino. In May 2016 DJ Guerito was surprised at an invitation to perform for REDwave Euro Events at one of the most elite Social Nightclubs in the Denver area, Prive of Dorchester for a fashion show and live photo shoot. Guerito has even shared the stage with a few of the industries finest, including DJ Shane Stiel (Haus of Stiel), Chicago’s own Global Sensation DJ Cindel, as well as DJ Tatiana and International Superstar DJ Xstasys, both of Puerto Rico.
