Anthony Terrezza plays all styles with creative, soulful passion – a crisp, distinct, clean and fresh sound. From fusion and light jazz, rock, r&b and funk; what sets Anthony apart as a guitarist, is his extraordinary smooth vocals and melodic composing. His music and playing have been compared to Toto, Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, Pablo Cruise, Ambrosia, Jeff Beck, Larry Carlton, Russ Freeman and Pat Metheny – although his sound is truly his own!
Anthony Terrezza was born and raised in New Jersey, and started playing guitar at the age of 8, with the encouragement of his father (Louis Terrezza). Louis was an accomplished and recorded singer. His Grandpa Carnevale, originally from Italy, was a professional concert violinist.
Anthony's debut CD "Higher Ground", released in 2003, is dedicated in loving memory to his Dad. Anthony's 2nd CD, entitled "Return to Spirit" features Dan Siegel - a prolific contemporary jazz pianist and Jim Blair, touring and recording drummer with Spencer Davis Group, Shalamar and Luther Vandross, to name a few. The music on "Return to Spirit" delves into the “spirit within” and expresses these concepts through Fusion Jazz, Light Jazz, Terrezza-style jazz and melodic rock/funk with his angelic smooth vocals. Presently he is co-writing a song with the Legendary bassist, Max Bennett, and writing and recording additional songs for his 3rd CD.
Anthony promotes his original music through his touring band, Anthony Terrezza & Triple Espresso. He plays local venues, festivals and concerts such as the Coach House, playing not only his original music, but his unique arrangements of cover songs. His arrangements of “All Blues”, “Whipping Post” “Never Been To Spain” ,“Love The One You're With”, and “Doc of the Bay”, are all audience favorites.
Since moving to California, his creative guitar sounds have been heard on TV Movies (such as Discovery Channel, NBC, ABC & TV Commercials, Radio Jingles, Theme Songs for Talk Radio shows), Children's Albums (Greg & Steve). He has been a session player on over 400 projects including local Solo artists, Cynthia Zaitz, Niki Smart, Gina Kessler, Chris Daniels and Bob Malone. His performances have been seen on VH1 with Richard Elliot & Tower of Power; and at countless concert venues! While living in Nashville, he worked on Music Row with hit songwriters (“Pacific Sunset” was written with hit songwriter Rand Bishop – a song that is on the “Higher Ground” CD), and earlier in his career he produced and wrote commercial songs for the Morley Corporation and was featured in the LA Times. In 2008, Anthony was the touring guitarist with Martin Gerschwitz & Friends in the U.S. and in Europe..
He has Recorded and Produced not only his 2 CD's, but also the debut CD for Satyn Dolls, Gina Kessler, Chris Daniels Project, John Salone, and many others, in his studio “Blue Knight Studio".
