About the Artist

Alex Hand graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2011 with a degree in jazz guitar performance. While touring in 2014 with Los Angeles singer, Jessica Fichot, Alex performed at the Midwest Gypsy Swing festival and Montreal's Francofolies festival. He studied traditional Balkan music in Bulgaria in 2015 and lived in the San Francisco area for six years, performing and teaching. In 2021 Alex graduated with a master's degree in jazz performance from the University of North Texas and was featured as a guitarist on episode 2 of the hit TV series, Yellowstone 1883. His current music project integrates inspiration from rock, jazz with folk music of Europe. The Alex Hand Band released a full length album in 2018 called Traders of the Lost Arts, and another in 2019 called The Fast Crusade, both available on iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp, CD Baby and more. He currently lives and performs regularly in the Dallas area.
