“Flint’s Shava Jay ‘Finish Line,’ produced by Duke Williams, is a great motivating song. Being the first female to win the 810 Local Flow was something serious. Now, the songwriter and singer is back with new music and I think you should take a listen. Shava teamed up with Duke Williams for this inspirational song that will motivate you. When times get rough and/or people are talking about you negatively, you may want to listen to ‘Finish Line.’ Not everyone will go the distance, b But you been working on your stride All the weight you’ve been carrying I know your body is tired People may talk about you But they don’t know what you been through But everyone so quick to doubt you Like they don’t know that He favors you. The song is heavy synthesized which is too overbearing to listen to. Shave delivers the strong message of not giving up and you can feel it in her lyrics. Take a listen below and if you like it, let me know by leaving your thoughts in the comment sec”

“Shava Jay has an all around new style. She is coming from a crowded city and a crowded R&B scene. Shava Jay has a strong following and she is ready to take it to the next level. In a few years, she will be a star in the game. Recently, JR, The Black Entertainment Guide caught up with Shava Jay for an exclusive interview. How long have you been recording music? I started recording at the age of 14 so for about 12 years. I released my first complete underground CD "pen, paper & lyrics" in 2007 people can view it at www.shavajay.bandcamp.com this was the first complete project. This project was a collection of emotions that a 20 year old girl was experiencing What was your first time on stage like? The first time i performed I was in Undergrad at Wilberforce University in the gospel choir i had a solo I was always singing and recording but I had never done a show but while in undergrad i began taking advantage of every opportunity. ”

“Taking a break from the flow only for a moment, Shava Jay shines on a track of her own on “Ride” where she displays her sultry vocals over a bouncy yet smooth tempo. The melodic songbird then makes another impressive appearance on the brassy “Wait a Minute” as she’s accompanied by female emcee, Quiet Storm. Later, the notable 1000 Bars shows up to throw his weight around on the swag-drenched “Never Gone Change” while newcomer, Wimpy, comes through and greatly delivers on a breezy “Just Fly.” ”
