“n less than a year, 8 Foot Grimiss has written almost fifteen original songs, played shows on the east side of the state and has shared a stage with some big names in rock, including Great White, Taproot and Stephen Pearcy of Ratt. “The style in my personal opinion is 8 Foot Grimiss,” Schmitz said. “Go ahead and call it blues rock like it says in our profile but it’s one of those groups where people ask, ‘Who do you sound like?’ Well, we don’t (sound like anyone else). We all just enjoy playing music together.” The sound may be one of a kind, but that doesn’t mean the band isn’t influenced by other artists. He’s right about that.
