Born and raised in Sidney, B.C. the girls have been playing music their whole lives, joining together in the Spring of 2011 to from Reverie. All three members met in high school have been involved with the Parkland Secondary concert band and many other school based music programs. Their music is folk infused and stylistic of the "singer songwriter" genre, with pop-like hooks and they share the role of lead vocals. They layer their harmonies to create a whole new sound to their original music, and covers of their favourite songs. Reverie has played throughout Sidney and the Victoria area: busking on the streets of Sidney on the warm summer days, at Resthaven Lodge, the Victoria Folk Music Society, Opening for The Archers and Michael Wood Band at the Mary Winspear, Victoria Event Center and many fundraising events. They layer their harmonies to create a whole new sound to their original music, and covers of their favourite songs. Throughout their time together, they have learnt from each other, and expanded their musical perspectives: learning new instruments, songs and stylistic qualities. Reverie plays for the love of music, and meets regularly to prepare their music and share it with their audiences. In April 2013, they released their first EP “You Look So Lovely” and performed a release show for the community at the St. Andrews Anglican Church in Sidney, B.C. They also expanded by adding an additional member, Grant Parkins on bass who joined the band at the release show and has been performing with Reverie ever since.
