URSUS

URSUS is a Speed / thrash metal band from Bogota (Colombia), it was formed a decade ago and since its creation has rolled among the Metal scene as well as in the capital city as in other Colombian cities. Ursus´ music represents the old-school 80’s metal´s wrath and power made in Latin America, its fans enjoy and identify themselves with its aggressive sounds and lyrics which depict the metalheads´ insights and feelings as well as people´s experiences in a land of state corruption, injustice, violence, capitalism invasion, police brutality and twisted laws, within many other society´s vices. Influenced by metal legends as MOTÖRHEAD, ACCEPT, RAZOR, V8, HERMÉTICA, and many others true metal bands. URSUS unleashes an ass-kicking, outrageous energy in its shows. It was formed by Mario Cruz, Edward Pita, Diana Cañon and Carlos Reina, (who left URSUS due to professional reasons). In 2.006, Felix took on the vocal works, contributing to URSUS a more powerful and sicker driving with a classic, front-man performance. Throughout its history, URSUS has played alongside legendary bands such as MOTORHEAD, SODOM, HIRAX, ONSLAUGHT, MONSTROSITY, OBUS and many other s including: Death Mortor, Drahcko (Venezuela), Asfixia (Spain) Gore (Peru), Twilight Glimmer, Vaitor (Pereira), Reencarnación, Witchtrap Dirges, Revenge, Runnerhell, (Medellin), Hatred, Mad Throng(B/manga), Hedor, Verdugo (Ibaguè), Destroyer, Sagros (Cali), Chacal (Pamplona) Soulburner, Novilunium, Cobra, Fury Of Fire, Sursum Corda. Besides, URSUS has been playing in a large amount of cities, metal fests and gigs.
